§ 12. Concept and Types of Algorithmic Associations

Round 4 note: German leading version has been coherence-checked; this English page remains a companion working draft.

Symbolische Grafik: Algorithmische Verbaende

This page accompanies the German section § 12. Begriff und Arten algorithmischer Verbände. An algorithmic association exists when algorithmically mediated order is durably supported by roles, resources, rules, boundaries, and decision powers. Its form may be a company, platform, public agency, research network, standards arena, open-source community, or user collective.

The decisive point is not legal form alone, but the organized chance that certain algorithmic operations will recur and produce socially binding consequences. Platform associations, data associations, model associations, research associations, administrative associations, user communities, and AI-supported enterprises differ by the resources and expectations they stabilize.

This concept prepares the move from attribution to institutional order: responsibility becomes possible or impossible inside associations because they determine what is documented, who may inspect, how errors are named, and which outputs count as binding.
