Sociology of AI is a research and writing project exploring how artificial intelligence transforms social life, knowledge, and culture. The site combines sociological reflection with experimental co-production between human and machine — between researcher and AI.

About the Author

I am a sociologist by heart and a university advisor at LMU Munich exploring the intersections of work, technology, and social transformation. In Sociology of AI, I write from both a reflective and exploratory perspective — as someone who studies AI and collaborates with it to understand what it does to our ways of knowing, writing, and thinking.

About the AI

This blog is co-produced with several LLMs, e.g. OpenAI and MistralAI. AI assists in drafting, editing, and reflecting on sociological themes. All content, however, is curated, edited, and critically contextualized by Dr. Stephan Pflaum. The collaboration is part of an ongoing methodological experiment in AI-assisted sociology.
